Creative Ways to Help Children Manage Emotions

This practical one-day workshop explores developmental and practical considerations in working therapeutically with children with a broad range of emotional difficulties. It provides the opportunity to learn a range of new creative activities that can be used in therapy with preschool and primary aged children and their families.  This will be a small, hands-on workshop with limited places (35 maximum).  If you don’t have our book or you would prefer an interactive learning experience this workshop is for you.

You will receive –

Participants will receive a hard copy of the book Creative Ways to Help Children Manage Big Feelings: A Therapists Guide to Working with Preschool and Primary Children, RRP AUS$39.99 (which includes a write up of many of the activities).  They will also include a copy of the slides, and a detailed write-up of the additional therapy activities.

 

Who is this workshop for –

This workshop is for therapists who work with children and families.  This includes psychologists, social workers, counsellors, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and other mental health clinicians.

The workshop is suitable for both less and more experienced therapists.  It provides a solid grounding in child work and is suitable for therapists are new to this area.  More experienced clinicians have also enjoyed the practical focus of the workshop and the opportunity to learn new activities to integrate into their work.
